Ah, technology, we have come a long way!! Way back (25 years ago) when I first had this job, there was not a shelf list. So I decided that was going to be one of my goals. I wrote the titles down by hand and then took that list home to my personal computer where I could enter them in alphabetical order by title AND author! WOW! I thought it was a great little machine! We now have our catalog on Destiny and when it's working, it's great! But when things go wrong it
can take a few days to get it back in order.
I have viewed and commented on a few other people's blogs. It's fun to hear all sides of this
"technical age"!

It's been really interesting to read people's posts on technology - especially their anecdotes about how things have changed since they started!
I imagine you've seen quite a change in technology from the first time you worked in a library to now.
Your looking back on technology changes reminds me of the first time I created a spreadsheet; I was so nervous and spent hours on it. I still have it and keep it to remind me of how far we have come; I can make the same spreadsheet in under 5 minutes!!
cool! I don't remember those times; but I admire you and your diligence to finish that huge task!!! (I like your blog)
